Rising durian prices are the joy of farmers. However, unusually high prices and bluffing of the garden can easily lead to consequences later.

Dak Lak durian is about to come to harvest time, which is also when traders and businesses rush to close the garden. Currently, the price of Dak Lak Durian is being pushed up by traders and businesses to over 80,000 VND/kg depending on the garden.

As noted by the reporter, there has never been a year when the price of durian in Dak Lak has been so high. Selling at a high price, farmers benefit. However, the price is "blown" higher than the real demand of the market, which will lead to many consequences, but the losers are still farmers.

Land storks turn to storks
At this time, if you go to localities with durian areas in Dak Lak province, it is not difficult to see the scene of storks coming to the durian garden of people to see the garden and fix the price.

According to a person who was looking for a garden to fix the price in Ea Tar commune, Cu M'gar district, through relationships he was able to connect with Chinese traders, then this person along with 2 other people found the Durian garden of local people fixed the price. The price of durian garden fixed by this group ranges from 73,000 to 84,000 VND/kg.

“Say that this quote is from 1 to 5kg, but it just looks good. And the fruit is diseased, twisted, then discarded. Only after being introduced, people work directly with Chinese traders. Up to now, the brothers have closed more than 500 tons with the price gradually increasing from 73,000 to 80,000 VND/kg. Closing the garden is entitled to a commission of 1,000 VND/kg. Fix the price for Chinese traders, but don't know specifically for any company," this person said.

This stork added that, at present, most durian storks come from land storks. "When entering a beautiful garden, turn to the tenant to see, if they agree and give the price, then lead them to meet the garden owner," this stork added.

Ms. Tran Thi Tuoi's family (living in Ea Tar commune) has 2 hectares of durian, which is expected to yield more than 20 tons. Recently, Ms. Tuoi's family has been constantly contacted by storks to close the garden. According to Ms. Tuoi, the family only needs to open the garden door to have someone come in and make a deposit.

“There are a lot of storks in. They bid over 80,000 VND/kg and are willing to deposit 40%. However, families entering the cooperative should give priority to selling to the cooperative at the price of 68,000 VND/kg. At this price, people have made a profit," said Ms. Tuoi.

This person added that the storks paid a high price, the surrounding households all settled over 80,000 VND/kg. “Working with other people, but the family selling to the cooperative is low, the surrounding gardens are more expensive. People around just commenting out, opinions in. The couple can't even eat rice when thinking about this. Therefore, recently the husband and wife met with the cooperative and asked to increase the price for a few more, "said Ms. Tuoi.

Ms. Bui Thu Phuong, Director of Tan Khang Agricultural Cooperative, Trade and Sustainable Services, said that many storks and traders come to people's gardens to fix prices above 80,000 VND/kg in the form of buying buckets.

According to Ms. Phuong, the situation of land storks turning to durian storks is very much. These cases did not understand anything about durian, but they formed groups of "blowing prices" from 75,000 to 85,000 VND/kg bought in the form of buckets of the whole garden, not choosing the first, second and third goods.

“In addition, there are many large companies to drop deposits, but in the contract signed with the people, there is not much binding. In it, there is no specific cutting date, only saying that when the fruit falls, the business will cut it. The contract also does not state from knife 1 to delivery 2 and 3 and how many days to return the garden. The cooperative also warned members a lot, even giving evidence recently in Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai that the garden was 'anchored' left, not cut, causing great damage, "Ms. Phuong informed.

The female director said that when people see the high price, closing the garden is for the immediate benefit. Even many gardens have fixed the price, received a deposit with the business, but when the latter pays a higher price, they are willing to pay the deposit.

“The high price is good, but I am afraid that there will be a situation of traders anchoring the garden when the price drops at the time of harvest. In addition, when harvesting occurs a state of protection wanderlust. In the locality, there was a situation that a few gardens after breaking the stakes, the traders brought the gypsies to block the door and not allow them to be cut. This will cause the people to suffer a great deal,” added the female director.

“In fact, when people garden well, the investment cost per kilogram of durian is less than 20,000 VND/kg. If the price of durian is stable at 50,000 VND/kg, people can rest assured to produce and harvest. Compared to last year at this time, the price was only about 40,000 VND/kg, but this year it has doubled. In such a situation of price inflation, people and cooperatives do not know what is the actual price or the virtual price. In addition, farmers do not have the technique to evaluate the rate and cut in the garden
